This month we welcome 17 new students from France, Turkey, Japan, Korea, Kazakhstan and Saudi Arabia. Over President’s Day weekend, students enjoyed an excursion to Las Vegas and the Grand Canyon. This trip has always been a popular trip for students and they experience new adventures every time! Also, the students celebrated Valentine’s Day making personalized Valentine’s bags for sharing chocolates, fun, and language, and we discovered some impressive talents and senses of humor in the process! Good job, everyone!

Please meet Karl Kottman, our new Academic Coordinator.

“After teaching at GEOS for nearly two years, I am excited to fill the position of Academic Coordinator. We are a great time here in Costa Mesa, and I am grateful to have the opportunity to do more for our students. I deeply care about education and will be working hard to provide the best for our growing and changing student body."

It’s time of the year to get you sea legs and enjoy the whale festival. Dana Point Camber of Commerce will celebrate with its Annual Street Fair with over 100 vendors, which is part of the Whale Festival’s weekend of fun, food, and entertainment. March 5-6 & 12-13

After working with us for three years, Jennifer, our Academic Coordinator, is leaving GEOS Costa Mesa in March. She greatly enjoyed working here and she expressed how much she is going to miss meeting many people from around the world. We are going to miss you so much, too!

Currently we have 19 Nationalities represented in the school among our 106 students. We extend a warm welcome to all the students studying English with us!

Student Testimonial for ESL Course at GEOS Los Angeles Costa Mesa
My name is Veronica and I am from Spain. Since I came here I met many friends at GEOS, and I wouldn’t have made international friends from places like Japan, Korea, Brazil, Saudi Arabia and many others if I hadn’t come here. The best thing is, that since my friends are all international friends, I am constantly speaking in English and of course, I am learning English everyday at GEOS, so my English is improving! I really enjoy my stay here, and I hope that people can come here and share my experiences.

-LAS VEGAS/GRAND CANYON TRIP: On Feb. 19, 20 and 21, one of GEOS’ staff and four students visited LAS VEGAS, also know as “Sin City”, and one of the world’s most beautiful national parks, the Grand Canyon. The students stayed on the world-famous strip and enjoyed the unique Vegas hotels and nightlife (they promised us they didn’t “sin” too much).
